Things in life are COMMON: perpetual itch, hunger, cuteness and being blind of your surroundings.

We bought a car, a Holden Commodore wagon and Poc named it as Sir Winston, not after Churchill but something more odd, maybe an Agatha Christie character? We fitted Sir Winston ready for travel with an air mattress of 99 cm in width and linen to mach, an LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) cooker and tank of four litres, 20 litter canister of Aqua, piles and piles of food, a canister of synthetic motor oil and some green coolant, for A Holden Commodore wagon 97 gets really really hot from the engine part. With the car we bought road side assistance for one year and a warranty that covers for most of the unthinkable engine failures and part repairs up to about twenty thousand dollars, which is good cos the car only cost three thousand. As I have no licence Wombo is from now on referred as DriVer Pocket and is in full command of Sir Winston, which is running splendidly for an older gentleman as it is.

The nights here can get well below zero and as Sir Winston is not heated we faced a choice of death and decided to use money and bought two fleece blankets to keep us warm from beneath and two regular blankets to stop the escaping of heat above. This method has proven itself to be the best to keep us warm. The list of investments increases as we got an insurance (not necessary) for the car, that covers if we deal destruction to others, or an automobilist, who is not covered / has no insurance goes on a lethal rampage of destruction on Sir Winston, in  these cases we are covered. Personally I would have preferred an electric/fuel cell powered car over this piece of antiquated technology, but selection of used, cheap and in surprisingly good condition cars is unfortunately limited in the city of Sydney. Tesla motors has not yet produced a COMMON electric vehicle that a regular human of a poor standard of accumulated level of wealth would be able to purchase. Even models available are not cabable of self produced power. An Other interesting way of powering the car would be electro magnetic induction, that would charge the cars batteries trough the solar panel paved roads and supply clean energy beyond the needs of our species. Getting funding for interesting projects can be a bitch, but it's not impossible.

The headline indicates of things COMMON and I thought of our fine financially unstable Europe and how similar Australia feels (no idea of Australian dept at the moment, but probably un payable), with the exemption of nature as in flora and fauna, the people of Australia at least the small and narrow study we have taken has come to this conclusion. People are nice, helpful, immensely social and don't frown upon dumpster diving except in Sydney.

Our first objective of life in Australia with a car was to see a Wombat in the wild. A Wombat not bound by people, a Wombat of it's own kind, a Wombat not scared of anyone, a Wombat who rules the wild, A free Wombat. And them we did find at Bendeela picnic and camping ground two hour drive from Sydney to the scenic and beautiful highlands of New South Wales. Bendeela lies in Kangaroo Valley and also possesses some dozens of species of birds, Wallabies who stay far from people, but like to hang around roads in the dark, the reason we are not driving after dusk. As Meat Loaf puts it Best "They only come out at night" even as the song has nothing to do with the COMMON Wombat, they indeed are creatures of the night. These creatures/herbivores are cute beyond all reason and their dust filled furs make them uber catuliwatuli masters of chaos. Unfortunately as wild animals are wild I was not permitting myself to approach them too close for they in all their coolness posses razor sharp nails longer than the average digitus minimus of an alleged human being and can get furious if bothered. Few times at night we woke to a rocking motion of the car and a emence WTF filled the space of our mobile home. This motion was of a COMMON Wombat scratching it's back on the belly of our car. These midgets made of muscle are stronger than me (not much required) but as small size they posses huge strength to move mountains, from inside out. Wombats live underground in borrows dug by them selves or by generations long gone and a burrow can be up to thirty meters long with many sleeping chambers to occupy the hours of the day in. This catuliwatuli beast of cute works on grass.

We stayed in Bendeela and surrounding turf for five nights and saw fabulous waterfalls, a few COMMON Wombats, some wallabies, the most colorful birds i have ever seen alive, leach or two or five on me and one on Poc (these were small about fife centimeters long with suction on either end and a orange stripe on the "head". As I removed them from myself and Wombo then placed them on the jungle floor they stretched out as if to reach back and trap yet another victim "just looking for a thrill". Fascinating creatures.) Also there was some swimming, talking to people, making wooden kitchen tools only to be shitted upon by a COMMON Wombat. The nature in the highlands is lushes and green one of the most beautiful in anywhere this might be worth a visit.

the Holden returned us to Sydney to get our debit cards from Common Wealth bank (the name of the bank implied that we all share an account and can use the acquired "Common Wealth" from that account as we please, unfortunately boy it just ain't so). After the debit cards we had no option but to seek the office of poste restate in Sydney located at Hunter Connection shopping center on the third floor at 310 George street. As we found it our tax numbers were waiting for us and we received them from a pleasant bearded gentleman. Our first time of using this wonderful service that is apparently free and available world wide. As we raced back to our white wagon, which we left at Ikea car park  (it's free for three hours) next to Rhodes railway station we unfortunately arrived too late an had to pay for half an hour.

Now I feel hungry and the sun is finally showing it's bright self, so must depart to our car and after feasting we will drive to the town of Sofala to mine some gold, we even have an old frying pan to be used at the river separating all the gold from the soil of that town.

I'm writing this in Bathurst city library and DriVer Pocket is sleeping next to me head on the table and I have a picture to prove it. Bathurst has a Sergio Leone type western feel to it and is welcoming. Our first night we spent on the outer edge of the city at Lions Club of Bathurst parking lot and the second night we stayed at David's and Cheryl's guest room as they were nice to offer after we met at the local church. In the church they had open doors Friday and some local and non-local people looking around so we peaked in and engaged in conversation with these fine Bathurstian people. All where shocked to hear that we are sleeping in our car and received more than two offers of accommodation for last night. After a while they wore us down and we took upon their offer and slept well in their home.

Pocket is dyslectic. I don't remember the name of this particular location, but it's really nice.

Seven am is the time that Mr Sol gets above the horizon and shines on us.
